Open day: Numerous interested visitors experience future technologies up close

Around 900 visitors, including many school classes, took the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and learn about research in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics and secure systems at the DFKI Open Day in Bremen.

Visitors were able to experience the future technologies in all its diversity: from robotic systems for space exploration and astronautical training, to autonomous underwater vehicles for munitions recovery and plant inspection, to systems for autonomous strawberry harvesting, disaster control and medical rehabilitation. Among the crowd-pullers were the footballers from B-Human, the now 11-time world champion in robot soccer, who demonstrated their skills on a small pitch. The interactive exhibits with the opportunity to control robots themselves were particularly popular with our young guests.

A wonderful day dedicated to science communication with many exciting conversations, inspiring encounters and shining children's eyes - we thank everyone who was there!
