The objective of this short talk is to share experience from my journey after leaving Bremen and to be there for questions. Starting my career in Berlin as a mathematician, I had been working in the robotics institute for almost 7 years and became a machine learning expert. Last year, I joined the multimedia group at the prestigious University of California, Berkley, with a funding by the DAAD, FITweltweit. Here, I learned a lot about research and living at the USA which is quite different from Germany. Very recently, I joined Mercedes Benz Research and Development in North America, Sunnyvale (MBRDNA) as a leading Data Scientist which will also bring me back to Berlin from time to time. The talk will focus on my time at Berkeley.
