The research study RIMRES (Reconfigurable Integrated Multi Robot Exploration System) needs a power management system, which offers modularity and energy savings mechanisms. RIMRES consists of a main system which supplies energy, accumulator modules and sensor/actuating modules. These can be connected with each other. Therefore in each module an intelligent power management is needed, which supervises and changes the energy supply between the individual sources. This power management system is a basis for the correct functioning of the RIMRES module stacks and guarantees suitable switching between different energy sources in the group of modules. Additionally communication interfaces are provided, which guarantee the control of the power management system and the information retrieval. The presentation describes the current state of the master thesis and gives a view of the past researches, work and plans for further work.
