Robotics Group
The Robotics Research Group belongs to the Faculty 3 – Mathematics and Computer Science – at the University of Bremen. Headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Frank Kirchner, around 20 employees and 13 student assistants develop mobile intelligent robots since 2002.
The researchers closely cooperate with scientists from the Robotics Innovation Center of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) which is headed by Professor Kirchner, too.
Fields of application are space, underwater, electric mobility, logistics, production and consumer (LPC), SAR (Search and Rescue) and security robotics, and assistance- and rehabilitation systems.
Lectures of the Robotics Group can be found in the section Teaching.
