Deployment and Recovery of Beacons with a Quadrocopter

In recent years, Quadrocopter helicopters were widely used as a platform for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) researchs and many civil applications, due to their great abilities in hovering, vertical take off and vertical landing, as well as the simplicity in construction and maintenance. This seminar presents a master thesis which tries to use a quadrocopter to deploy beacons in an urban outdoor application. The Quadrocopter are controlled using visual servoing techniques which depends on an attached single camera. Several visual servoing techniques and control architectures should be discussed, as well as implementation and test procedures.
