Camera-based traffic sign recognition

Traffic signs form a visual language to inform the drivers about the current traffic situation and  the road traffic regulation. With the development of technologies such as Advanced Driving Assistance System and Autonomous Vehicle, the automatic traffic signs recognition became of particular interest. In the last two decades, a lot  of efforts have been made in the direction. However, this research task still contains open issues.

This master thesis is focused on the analyses of the existing approaches according to the requirements from Autonomous Vehicle. On the basis of the acquired knowledge, the most appropriate algorithms are implemented, tested and evaluated. This concerns the algorithms, which fulfill the defined requirements.
