Fall internship for pupils aged 12 and over
Since 2015, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence GmbH (DFKI) in Bremen has offered an annual one-week internship for IT and technology enthusiasts aged 12 and over during the fall break. Supervised by scientists from DFKI's Robotics Innovation Center and Cyber-Physical Systems research departments, participants gain a comprehensive insight into everyday working life at a research facility for artificial intelligence. Under professional guidance, there is also the opportunity to become active themselves.
The girls and boys learn which work steps are necessary to develop a robot. They also find out which different professional groups work hand in hand at DFKI Bremen. The participants work through the various areas themselves with their own small project - from CAD design and design to electronics and final programming.
In addition to all kinds of technical know-how, the DFKI scientists also provide valuable tips on training and study opportunities in their specialist areas.
