Exciting insights into the world of artificial intelligence and robotics at the open day at DFKI Bremen

Find out how artificial intelligence and robotics can support us today and in the future, and learn about the current state of research at the DFKI Open Day in Bremen on 5 September 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. We invite you to take a look behind the scenes of an AI research facility.

During a tour of the DFKI building, you will learn about current projects, which our scientists will explain to you using numerous exhibits and demonstrations. For example, you will learn about the benefits of research for applications such as space travel, agriculture and industrial production, how robots are used underwater, in space and in medical assistance, and how intelligent systems can help in environmental protection and disaster areas. In the Maritime Exploration Hall, which is unique in Europe, you will find autonomous underwater vehicles that are being developed for applications such as inspecting deep-sea installations and recovering ammunition. In the artificial lunar crater landscape, innovative space rovers demonstrate their ability to overcome obstacles. You can also see many other robots in action, including the multiple world champion in robot football, B-Human, an autonomous strawberry picking robot that will help with field harvesting in the future, the magnetic inspection robot Magnet Crawler, which can inspect the steel towers of wind turbines, and a robotic exoskeleton for rehabilitation after a stroke.

We look forward to welcoming you to our open day at DFKI in Bremen!
