Title: Testing and Explanation Strategies for Safe and Trustworthy Mobile Robotics Systems
Abstract: The safety and trustworthiness of mobile robotic systems are paramount in real-world applications and remain a major challenge. This challenge is further exacerbated with the plenty implementations of AI models, which bring additional uncertainty and impose opaque properties to the systems. This talk aims to shed light on the testing strategies and explainable methods that contribute to addressing this challenge, covering from passive & active testing, risk quantification to explainable AI methods, with a specific application in autonomous driving. The key takeaway will be summarized, and open challenges will be finally discussed.
