The Robotics Research Group belongs to the Faculty 3 – Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bremen. Headed by Prof. Dr. Frank Kirchner, around 20 employees and about 5 student assistants develop mobile intelligent robots since 2002.

The researchers closely cooperate with scientists from the Robotics Innovation Center of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) which is headed by Prof. Kirchner, too. (see About Us - DFKI RIC)

Fields of application are underwater, space, SAR (Search and Rescue) and security robotics, logistics, production and consumer (LPC), cognitive robotics, e-mobility, and rehabilitation robotics.

Lectures of the Robotics Group can be found in the section Teaching.
